But, each and every company is different in key ways of doing business, and in how they treat and interact with their own drivers. The key to finding a job that you will be happy with is making sure that what the company has to offer is in line with what you want, and what the company expects in return is something you are willing to give.

Some companies expect you to be out two full weeks or more before going home....Obviously, a job with such a company isn't going to work out very well for a driver who expects to get home every couple of days. Likewise, there are some drivers who prefer longer runs and actually want to be gone a week or two before being routed home. A job that routes this driver home every other day isn't going to work well either. That's why it is so important to do your homework before starting a new driving job with ANY trucking company, and make sure it is a good fit for both you and the company.
